About Bryant JuncoEarly Life and EducationMy name is Bryant Junco. I was born in Miami Beach, Florida, and spent much of my childhood growing up in Coconut Creek, a suburban community in Broward County, just outside Fort Lauderdale.Growing up in South Florida exposed me to a diverse community of people, cultures, and experiences that helped shape my interests and perspective on life.Following high school, I pursued higher education at Palm Beach State College and Florida Atlantic University, where I studied business and political science. These academic interests reflected my early fascination with entrepreneurship, government, public affairs, and the role individuals can play in shaping their communities. After college, I relocated to Tampa, Florida, where I spent approximately 12 years. During my time in the Tampa Bay area, I decided to pursue a career in healthcare and enrolled at Manatee Technical Institute in Sarasota, Florida. There, I earned a diploma in Orthopedic Technology, beginning what would become a rewarding career in orthopedic patient care.A Career in Orthopedic HealthcareIn 2016, I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to further develop my clinical experience at Grady Memorial Hospital, one of the Southeast’s major Level I trauma centers. Working in a demanding trauma environment provided valuable exposure to complex orthopedic injuries, emergency care, and multidisciplinary medical teams.Following my time in Atlanta, I returned briefly to my hometown of Miami, where I worked at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. This experience allowed me to expand my clinical knowledge into pediatric orthopedics, developing specialized skills in caring for children with fractures, injuries, and other orthopedic conditions. In 2018, I made the decision to relocate to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a city that would eventually become my home.Since 2020, I have worked as an Orthopedic Technician at Children’s Wisconsin, where I have continued to build my career in pediatric orthopedic care. As a Registered Orthopedic Technologist, my professional experience includes orthopedic casting, splinting, bracing, patient education, and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. One of my greatest professional passions is teaching, educating, and sharing knowledge with others. Throughout my career, I have welcomed opportunities to participate in clinical education, hands-on workshops, and professional training initiatives. I particularly enjoy working with students, aspiring healthcare professionals, and colleagues to demonstrate orthopedic techniques, explain the principles behind clinical procedures, and help others develop confidence in their skills. I believe that sharing knowledge and investing in the development of others are essential components of advancing healthcare and maintaining high standards of patient care.Equally important to me is the patient experience. I strongly believe that exceptional healthcare extends beyond clinical treatment and includes compassion, effective communication, patient comfort, and ensuring that patients and their families feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their care.I currently serve on a Patient Experience Committee at Children’s Wisconsin, where I have the opportunity to contribute a frontline clinical perspective to discussions and initiatives focused on improving the overall experience of patients and their families. This involvement reflects my commitment to helping create a healthcare environment where clinical excellence and compassionate, patient-centered care go hand in hand.My career has taken me through several major American cities and healthcare institutions, each providing unique experiences that have shaped my approach to patient care, professional development, education, and service to others. I remain passionate about continuing to learn, mentoring others, and contributing to meaningful improvements in the delivery of orthopedic healthcare.Community Involvement and Public Service in MilwaukeeSince relocating to Milwaukee, I have developed a strong appreciation for the city, its neighborhoods, and the people who call it home.My interest in civic engagement led me to become involved in neighborhood public safety initiatives, including organizing a neighborhood watch effort in response to increasing vehicle break-ins and thefts in my community. What began as a desire to help protect my neighborhood grew into a broader community initiative that attracted local media attention. My involvement in these efforts was featured in coverage by WISN 12, TMJ4, CBS 58, and other Milwaukee news outlets.(See links to the coverage below)In 2025, I took my interest in local government and community involvement a step further by becoming a candidate for the Milwaukee Common Council, seeking to represent the city’s 3rd Aldermanic District.Although I was not elected, the experience remains a meaningful chapter in my life. I consider it an extraordinary honor and privilege to have participated in the democratic process as a candidate for public office. The opportunity to meet residents, listen to their concerns, participate in public forums, and discuss issues affecting Milwaukee reinforced my appreciation for civic responsibility and community engagement.I believe that public service can take many forms, whether through healthcare, neighborhood initiatives, volunteerism, or participation in local government. Each offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the lives of others.National Sports Media CoverageMy passion for sports has also led to some memorable and unexpected experiences, including becoming involved in the national media attention surrounding New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge and his historic 2022 home run chase in pursuit of Roger Maris’s 61 home runs in a season record.I came into possession of Aaron Judge’s 59th home run ball during a game against the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field in Milwaukee. My possession of Judge’s 59th home run baseball attracted interest from sports media outlets and provided opportunities to participate in interviews, podcasts, and discussions about baseball memorabilia and the significance of the historic moment. The experience brought together my enthusiasm for baseball, collecting, and live sporting events, while allowing me to share my story with sports fans across the country. My involvement received coverage from national sports media, including OutKick; a sports media subsidiary of Fox News, and remains one of the more unique experiences I’ve had as a lifelong sports enthusiast.Family and Life Beyond WorkOne of the most significant and rewarding milestones in my life came in October 2021, when I welcomed my incredible son into the world.Fatherhood has been one of the greatest joys of my life and has profoundly influenced my priorities, aspirations, and perspective on the future. Being a father motivates me every day to continue growing personally and professionally while working to provide my son with a happy, fulfilling, and opportunity-filled childhood.Outside of my professional and community activities, I enjoy music, art, traveling, attending sporting events, concerts, and other live entertainment. I have a longstanding interest in politics, business, and current affairs, and I appreciate opportunities to experience new places, cultures, and perspectives.Having lived in South Florida, Tampa, Atlanta, and now Milwaukee, I value the experiences and relationships that have come from living in different parts of the country.Today, Milwaukee is the place I call home. I remain committed to my career in healthcare, continued involvement in my community, and, above all, being the best father I can be.As I look toward the future, my goals remain centered on personal growth, professional excellence, meaningful community involvement, and creating lasting memories with my son.
